Our garden
The garden is part of the day, not an extra
An open garden, a covered play area, and the habit of going outside in any weather.
In a preschool the garden is not somewhere you go when the weather is nice. Balance, muscle strength, a sense of distance and an instinct for risk all develop out there. A day spent indoors, however rich, does not replace it.
So garden time is fixed in our daily programme. On every day the weather allows, we are outside for at least an hour.
What is in the garden
- A soft artificial grass surface
- Swings and a climbing tower
- Slides
- A garden playhouse
- Bicycles and scooters
- A basketball hoop
- A planting area
Rainy days
We have a covered garden area. On rainy or very hot days play moves there, so the children are still outdoors and still moving.
What to bring
- A spare set of clothes you do not mind getting dirty
- Outdoor clothing for the season, warm enough to stay outside in
- Comfortable shoes that can be run in
Dirty clothes are our sign of a good day. We do not keep a child out of the play to keep them clean.

Choosing a preschool online is hard. You need to walk in, feel the place and hear the children.
